To save fawns from being killed by mowers, the fawn rescue service uses modern drone technology with integrated thermal imaging cameras. This makes it possible to locate the animals precisely in the tall grass in the early hours of the morning.

As soon as a fawn is spotted, it is taken to a safe environment, such as the edge of the forest, in compliance with all animal welfare standards and with expert care. There, it is temporarily protected in a specially designed wooden box.

After the meadow has been mowed, the fawn is released immediately so that the doe can find her offspring and lead it to a new, protected location.
